Shahid was in studying in Std X when we first met the family after the death of the breadwinner of the family due to cancer. Being the elder son, he felt that he needs to work and earn to support his family. However, volunteers of our trust met with the family several times and persuaded Shahid to continue to study. We supported his mother to start their father’s business of artificial jewelry by providing initial financial assistance. We also provided her with a sewing machine so that she can earn some more money through it.
