Welcome to Mitra Foundation Trust
Based in Bangalore, Mitra Foundation is a charitable trust which facilitates groups of individuals engage in focused voluntary work to give back to society. The trust does do by offering a framework for helping needy individuals and communities. The charitable work under the aegis of the Trust can be in varied fields like (but
not restricted to) educational support, vocational training, livelihood support, medical assistance, health & hygiene, environment, etc.
The Trust allows the implementation of it’s goals through dedicated funds, each of which has a definite purpose and delineates the intended benefits of the expenditure incurred by the fund. Each fund is typically started through monetary contribution from a group of individuals intending to solve a certain problem by helping a group of beneficiaries or communities. The day-to-day activities of each fund is run by a management committee which works voluntarily to plan and monitor the activities under that fund.
Currently Mitra Foundation has under it’s purview 2 funds :
Jeevan Shakti Fund, which has the mission to help families of terminally ill / deceased cancer patients through funding of education of the affected family’s children, as well as counselling, guidance and monetary support for livelihood of impacted families
LBS Jana Sahayog Fund, which has the goal to encourage residents of LBS Nagar Bangalore and surrounding areas to assist needy residents of the same locality in the areas of healthcare and education.
