A Sunday morning well spent for me I must say. In the past 12 blood donation camps organised by Mitra Foundation, I am grateful to have had a chance to volunteer in almost 9/10. Rashtrotthana blood bank team arrived at the venue, APSA Dreamschool in Lal Bahadur Shastri Nagar, Bengaluru well before time as usual. In no time, the experienced team set up everything. Extremely disciplined group of doctors and technicians I must say. Since morning, donors started coming in and we were completely busy till I left the place at 2.45 pm. The first donor of the day was a dear friend and Mitra Foundation volunteer, Sarita. Today’s camp saw as many as 18 women donors, which is a very good turnout and probably the highest so far. It was a very proud moment for me as a parent because my son who turned 18 last month also donated today for the first time. I hope Mitra Foundation will always be able to continue this noble work in future.
