Every year we celebrate Shakti Smaran Diwas to remember “Shakti Shankar Rath”, who we lost on 6th Mar 2013, and in whose memory we have the Jeevan Shakti Initiative to work with the families of terminally ill cancer patients.

This year it was held on 4th March 208 at Karunashraya Bangalore Hospital. What a wonderful event it was.We had great participation of enthusiastic volunteers and counselors. We also had First Drop Team with their amazing performance.
Glad we could see smile and happiness around.
Visiting Karunashraya on this occasion was a great pleasure and opportunity. We got to know about how Karunashraya is a blessing for cancer patients. It not only provides shelter to cancer patients but also do every possible thing to fulfill their wishes in their last days. The Staff is very caring and helping. They provide emotional support, respite care, financial and legal planning advice, symptom control, appropriate nutrition, bereavement support and medical supplies and equipment at Free of Cost.

There is a Great saying by Mrs. Lydia Maria Child fits so well here – “An effort made for the happiness of others lifts us above ourselves.”
That exactly was the feeling after seeing happiness around.
